Boronia Railway Station and Crossing

The Boronia Rd, Dorset Rd cross roads at Boronia were dangerous and the rail line crossing was a source of frustration for drivers.

CPPD were asked to provide a solution by the Public Transport Users Association. The solution put the tracks and station platforms in a cut and cover tunnel. On grade above was a bus interchange, connecting by lift and stairs. We proposed that the land made available be developed with a shopping centre and Town Square,providing an integrated urban design solution. 

Our scheme was adopted by the Council and the local community, providing a catalyst for political lobbying.
